Disse sammenhænge er bl.a. undersøgt i forbindelse med den forudgående høring af kommuneplanen, en egenartsanalyse for hele området samt i samarbejde med By og Havn en trafikanalyse og en helhedsanalyse. Forvaltningerne har dog valgt at fremlægge en startredegørelse for lokalplan og kommuneplantillæg for Christiansholm alene, da grundejerne af Dokøen, Grønlandske Handels Plads og Kuglegården endnu ikke er afklarede i forhold til eventuelle konkrete planønsker. Med den opdelte proces vil hver grundejer kunne arbejde i deres ønskede tempo. Forvaltningerne har samtidig det større billede med i arbejdet med Christiansholm og fremover i planlægning bl.a., som bindeled mellem Nyhavn, Christianshavn og Holmen. I forbindelse med processen med udarbejdelsen af lokalplanen for Christiansholm forventes det, at der skal indgås et samarbejde med ejeren af Kuglegården for at sikre en tilfredsstillende trafikal løsning for betjening af øen. Bl.a. skal Trangravsvejs profil ændres for at kunne håndtere den forventede forøgelse af gang-, cykel- og biltrafik i forbindelse med åbning af Indrehavnsbroen og udvikling af Christiansholm. Forvaltningerne er forsat i dialog med de øvrige grundejere. Hvis de fremkommer med konkrete planønsker vil en evt. kommuneplantillægs- og lokalplanproces kunne blive genoptaget for en eller flere af områderne. Men det gælder et større område end det nævnte, da Gammel Dok i Prinsessegade forlades, det samme gør Ørkenfortet, og hvad med de mange tiltag i Prinsessegade?
