Langt om længe er det gået op for kommunen, at de har tilladt at bebygge havnen med fuglehuse.

Tidligere har stikprøver afsløret, at enkelte etageejendomme har haft op imod 20 procent boliger uden bopælspligt. I siloen på Islands Brygge var 33 ud af 84 boliger eksempelvis ubeboede i 2015.
